A regular polygon has all sides equal and all interior angles equal. As the number of sides increases, it approaches a circle. Regular polygons are used in architecture, design, and tessellations.

Trin-for-trin guide

  1. 1Sum of interior angles = (n−2) × 180°
  2. 2Each interior angle = (n−2) × 180° / n
  3. 3Area = (n × s²) / (4 × tan(π/n))
  4. 4Apothem (inradius) = s / (2 × tan(π/n))

Løste eksempler

Input
Regular hexagon · side = 6 cm
Resultat
Area = 93.53 cm² · Perimeter = 36 cm
