How to Calculate Temperature Conversion

What is Temperature Conversion?

Temperature scales measure thermal energy. Celsius (°C) anchors to water's freezing (0°) and boiling (100°) points. Fahrenheit (°F) uses a different scale. Kelvin (K) starts at absolute zero — the coldest theoretically possible temperature.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. 1C → F: multiply by 9/5 then add 32
  2. 2F → C: subtract 32 then multiply by 5/9
  3. 3K = C + 273.15 · R = F + 459.67
