Pro Tip

For printing: 300 DPI (dots per inch) is the standard for photo quality. Web images are typically 72–96 PPI — they look sharp on screen but print blurry when enlarged.

Did you know?

The human eye can distinguish individual pixels at about 1 arcminute of visual angle. At 12 inches, this works out to ~300 PPI — hence Apple's Retina threshold. Sitting further from a screen makes lower PPI look acceptable.
