A room layout calculator determines furniture placement and traffic flow in a room based on dimensions and furniture sizes. Good room layouts maintain 24–36 inches of clearance for walkways, 18 inches between sofa and coffee table, and 36 inches minimum around dining chairs for comfortable seating.
