The Semaglutide Dose Calculator determines the correct weekly injection dose of semaglutide based on your current titration phase, indication (Ozempic for diabetes or Wegovy for weight loss), and any dose adjustments for tolerability. It tracks milligrams per injection and pen selection.

Formel

Weekly Dose (mg) = Titration Phase Dose as per FDA schedule
D
Current Dose (mg/week) — Your currently prescribed weekly dose of semaglutide
W
Treatment Week (weeks) — Number of weeks since starting semaglutide
P
Pen Type (mg capacity) — The prefilled pen variant being used
I
Indication (text) — Diabetes (Ozempic) or weight management (Wegovy)

Trinn-for-trinn guide

  1. 1Select your semaglutide brand (Ozempic or Wegovy) and current titration week
  2. 2The calculator displays your current dose, pen type, and clicks per injection
  3. 3Review the next scheduled dose increase and when it should occur
  4. 4Note any dose adjustment flags if experiencing persistent side effects

Løste eksempler

Inndata
Wegovy, week 10 of treatment
Resultat
Current dose: 1.0 mg/week (Phase 3 of 5). Using the 1.0 mg pen. Next increase to 1.7 mg at week 13.
Inndata
Ozempic, week 6 of treatment, tolerating well
Resultat
Current dose: 0.5 mg/week (Phase 2). Using the 0.25/0.5 mg pen. Next increase to 1.0 mg at week 9 if glycemic control needs improvement.

Vanlige feil å unngå

  • Using the wrong pen for your dose — the 0.25/0.5 mg pen cannot deliver 1.0 mg doses
  • Confusing Ozempic doses (max 2.0 mg) with Wegovy doses (max 2.4 mg)
  • Injecting semaglutide more than once per week or changing the injection day without the proper 2-day minimum interval

Ofte stilte spørsmål

Can I switch between Ozempic and Wegovy?

Both contain semaglutide, but switching requires a new prescription because they have different approved indications, dose ranges, and titration schedules. Your provider may switch you if your treatment goal changes (e.g., from diabetes management to weight loss). Insurance coverage may also differ between the two.

What if I cannot tolerate the dose increase?

If you experience severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea at a higher dose, your provider may extend your time at the current dose for an additional 4 weeks before re-attempting the increase. In some cases, a lower maintenance dose is used if the full target dose is not tolerated.
