About Calkulon
Calkulon is a free online calculator platform built to give everyone access to accurate, fast, and educational tools — no account required, no paywalls.
Our mission
We believe that mathematical tools should be universally accessible. From students working through homework to professionals making financial decisions, everyone deserves clear, reliable calculators — with explanations that actually teach rather than just produce an answer.
Every calculator on Calkulon includes educational content: what the formula means, how to use it step by step, worked examples, reference tables, and links to further reading. We want you to understand the maths, not just copy a number.
What we offer
How we stay free
Calkulon is supported entirely by advertising. We show non-intrusive ads through Google AdSense. We never sell your data, never require registration, and never put calculators behind a paywall. The ad revenue lets us maintain the platform and keep adding new tools.
For power users, we also offer a Pro/Premium subscription that removes all ads, unlocks full step-by-step breakdowns, saves your calculations, and lets you embed ad-free calculators on your own website. The subscription helps support ongoing development while giving professionals and educators a clean, distraction-free experience.
Our methodology & accuracy standards
Every calculator on Calkulon is built from peer-reviewed mathematical, scientific, or financial formulas. Before publishing, each tool goes through a three-step verification process:
- 1
Formula sourcing
We trace each formula to its authoritative source — textbooks, ISO standards, government publications, or peer-reviewed research. Sources are listed in the References section of each calculator page.
- 2
Independent cross-check
Results are compared against at least two independent references (published tables, scientific papers, or established tools) to confirm accuracy across a range of inputs.
- 3
Regular review
Calculators are reviewed quarterly. When standards change — for example, updated tax rates, revised medical guidelines, or new scientific constants — we update the tool and revision date accordingly.
Despite our best efforts, no tool is infallible. For decisions with significant financial, health, legal, or safety implications, we always recommend verifying results with a qualified professional. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will investigate within 48 hours.
Who builds Calkulon
Built by the Calkulon team — a dedicated group of engineers and subject-matter contributors with backgrounds in mathematics, software engineering, and applied science.
Calkulon Team
Engineering & Product
A passionate team that envisioned Calkulon as a universally accessible calculator platform. We oversee product direction, quality standards, and the mission of making mathematical tools free for everyone.
The platform is developed by a skilled engineering team and we also collaborate with domain experts who review calculators in their specialty areas — including finance professionals for tax and investment tools, and educators for mathematics and science calculators.
Editorial policy
Transparency
Every calculator page shows the formula used, variables explained, and external references cited. You can always see how a result is derived.
Corrections
When errors are reported, we investigate and publish corrections within 48 hours. Affected calculators are flagged with a revision notice.
Independence
Calculator results are never influenced by advertisers or affiliates. Ads are clearly labelled and separated from calculator content.
Disclaimers
Calculators that touch health, tax, or legal topics include clear professional-advice disclaimers. We encourage users to consult qualified professionals for important decisions.
